Graduate school:
The National Association of Graduate Admissions Professionals (NAGAP) - The only professional organization devoted exclusively to the concerns of individuals working in the graduate admissions and recruitment environment. http://www.nagap.org
The Council of Graduate Schools' (CGS) - According to CGS, "supporting graduate education is critical to achieving the highly skilled workforce needed for the U.S. to compete effectively in the 21st century global economy." For that reason, the organization works to improve and advance graduate education through advocacy, innovative research, and the development and dissemination of best practices. http://www.cgsnet.org
Study Abroad:
The Association of International Educators (NAFSA) - One of the largest promoters of international education provides professional development opportunities for those in the field. http://www.nafsa.org
The Institute of International Education (IIE) - An independent non-profit organization founded in 1919 that functions as a world leader in the exchange of people and ideas. The website claims that, "the institute administers over 200 programs serving more than 20,000 individuals each year." http://www.iie.org
Adult education:
The University Continuing Education Association (UCEA) - Delivers timely, cross-disciplinary perspectives on pressing concerns and strategies that help members respond to "the expanding numbers of adults and non-traditional students seeking continuous learning opportunities." http://www.ucea/org

Noel-Levitz - Tries to help campuses and education systems reach and exceed their goals for student enrollment and achievement. http://www.noellevitz.com
The National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) - Promotes and supports quality academic advising by providing a forum for discussion through activities and publications. NACADA also serves as an advocate for effective academic advising by providing a Consultants Bureau, an Awards Program, and funding for Research related to academic advising. http://www.nacada.ksu.edu
The American School Counselor Association (ASCA) - Supports school counselors' efforts to help students focus on academic, personal/social, and career development.
